Did you know that Stackhouse Park has permanent orienteering courses that are available for park visitors to use for free?

This year, World Orienteering Week celebrates youth taking part in outside activities. Park volunteer and Western PA Orienteering Club member Eric Steinbring will be on hand Sunday, May 25th at the Spangler Pavilion from 11am to 12pm and 1pm to 2pm to talk about the sport of orienteering, how a compass works and how to use the orienteering map provided by the park. Youth will be able to create their own compasses (while supplies last) to take home.
